Aldous Torculas leaves UP, eyes transfer to NCAA
Aldous Torculas is leaving the University of the Philippines as he sets his eyes on the NCAA.
The UP Office of Athletics and Sports Development confirmed the move on Thursday.
“We’re proud of Aldous kung saan man siya susunod na maglalaro and we’re sure that he'll make UP proud by bringing the UP Fight,” said UP OASD director Bo Perasol.
“We wish Aldous the best and for sure, there are no goodbyes to be said right now. We’ll see you soon!”
Torculas was part of the Fighting Maroons squad which won the title in UAAP Season 87.
Last season, the 6-foot-4 wing posted averages of 4.08 points and 2.58 rebounds per game at the end of the elimination round.
Prior to his move with the seniors team, Torculas was also part of the UP Integrated School team where he eventually landed in the Mythical Team of UAAP Season 82.
Torculas played for three seasons with the Fighting Maroons and is expected to suit up in the NCAA in Season 102.
