Milcu Sports Got Skills Basketball to host star-studded coaching clinic

Champion PBA coaches take centerstage when Milcu Sports and Got Skills Basketball host a coaching clinic on March 30 at the Greenhills West Clubhouse in San Juan City.

Renowned basketball tacticians Leo Austria of San Miguel, Yeng Guiao of Rain or Shine, and Jong Uichico of NLEX will serve as speakers in the one-day session led by tournament and clinic director Allen Ricardo, who also serves as Letran head coach in the NCAA.

Austria led the Beermen — the winningest franchise in the league — to nine PBA titles while Uichico and Guiao have nine and seven championships under their belts.

Also attending the clinic is another champion coach in Norman Black, who was a successful icon both as a player and a coach in PBA and in the amateur ranks. He's now serving as a consultant to the Meralco Bolts.

High school coaches Bryan Cay, the strength and conditioning coach of the Knights, and Joph Cleopas, who's at the helm of the Perpetual Junior ALTAs, are also sharing their knowledge and skills in the clinic.

Completing the roster of speakers are former Alaska coach Alex Compton and Gilas Pilipinas Women head coach Patrick Aquino, who also steered the dynastic National University Lady Bulldogs to a number of UAAP titles, including a five-peat in 2018.
