TNT signs veteran guard Simon Enciso ahead of PBA grand slam bid
The TNT Tropang Giga have bolstered their backcourt rotation by adding a veteran guard in Simon Enciso ahead of its grand slam bid in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.
The Tropang Giga announced the development on Tuesday before the ballclub plunges back into action on April 23 against NLEX.
This will be a TNT homecoming for the 34-year-old Enciso, who had a brief stint with the franchise in 2020 when he was traded by Alaska for Mike Digregorio.
His return is expected to fill some of the void left by Jayson Castro, who has been ruled out for at least six months due to a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee.
Enciso will link up with fellow guards Rey Nambatac, RR Pogoy, Kim Aurin, Brian Heruela, and Jielo Razon as TNT will target completing a rare grand slam feat.
