JD Cagulangan is KBL Rookie of the Year; Carl Tamayo in Mythical Five
JD Cagulangan has been named as Rookie of the Year of this season's Korean Basketball League.
Cagulangan posted averages of 7.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in his rookie season since joining the Suwon KT Sonicboom in January.
The Sonicboom finished fourth in the elimination round with 33 wins and 21 losses.
Carl Tamayo of the Changwon LG Sakers, meanwhile, was also named in the Mythical Five.
Tamayo had averages of 15.1 points 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists as Changwon ended the elimination round at the second place with a 34-20 win-loss record.
Ahn Young-jun of the Seoul SK Knights was named the Domestic Most Valuable Player, while teammate Jameel Warney of Seoul SK was named the Foreign MVP. Joining Tamayo, Ahn, and Warney in the Mythical Team are Assem Marei of LG and Seoul's Kim Sun-hyung.
