Calvin Oftana leads TNT past San Miguel for first win in PBA Philippine Cup

Calvin Oftana registered 23 points and 21 rebounds to lead TNT past San Miguel, 89-84, for its first win in the PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

With around 3:23 left in the fourth period, TNT had a slim 81-78 lead before Oftana's free throws off a June Mar Fajardo foul gave the Tropang 5G a five-point lead. CJ Perez' layup at the 1:31 mark cut again the deficit but Simon Enciso drilled a trey with 49 ticks left. Marcio Lassiter's basket gave a glimmer of hope to the Beermen, but RR Pogoy drilled the dagger triple which virtually sealed the victory.
