Lebron Jhames Daep commits to La Salle


NCAA Season 100 juniors basketball MVP Lebron Jhames Daep is taking his talents to Taft Avenue as he committed to De La Salle University.

The development was confirmed by Green Archers head coach Topex Robinson.

Daep is the reigning Most Valuable Player of the NCAA juniors basketball tournament with averages of 15.44 points, 8.33 rebounds, 1.33 assists, 1.78 steals, and 1.0 block per game by the end of elimination round.

The 18-year old big man also bagged the Defensive Player plum and the Finals MVP award as he led the Junior ALTAs to its first championship since joining the NCAA.

Coming off a good run, Robinson described Daep as "a kid with a lot of potential."

"Grateful for LeBron entrusting La Salle moving forward with his college career," Robinson told GMA News Online.

In La Salle, he will also be under the guidance of players such as Mike Phillips, and transferees who will make their debut in UAAP Season 88 such as Mason Amos, Jacob Cortez, Kean Baclaan, and Luis Pablo.

He will also be teammates with finals foe Guillian Quines out of La Salle Green Hills, as confirmed by Robinson.

Quines previously said he has set his eyes on continuing to don the green and white, but this time, for the 2401 side of Taft Avenue in the UAAP.

“Nilo-look up ko na talaga ‘yung competition sa UAAP. It’s a dream for me. Marami pa akong need i-improve, kasi ‘yung coaches ko they are still guiding me kung saan man ako mapupunta," Quines previously said.

The Benilde-LSGH guard had averages of 23.89 points, 5.33 rebounds, 4.44 assists, and 3.22 steals.

Meanwhile, Colegio de San Juan de Letran's Jhuniel Dela Rama also confirmed he will be bringing his talent to San Sebastian College-Recoletos.
