Clint Escamis, Allen Liwag banner 2025 CPC Men's Basketball Mythical Team

Clint Escamis of Mapua University and Allen Liwag of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde banner this year's Men's Basketball Mythical Team which will be recognized by the Collegiate Press Corps in its Awards Night on Monday.

The Collegiate Press Corps is the group of writers covering the UAAP and the NCAA.

Escamis, last year's NCAA Most Valuable Player and this year's Finals MVP, led the Cardinals to its first title since 1991. In the elimination round, Escamis posted averages of 15.44 points, 4.0 assists, 3.61 rebounds, and 1.89 steals per game, before making averages of 24.5 points, four assists, and four steals in the finals series against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Liwag, the NCAA Season 100 MVP, led the Blazers with 14.61 points and 11.28 rebounds laced by 2.33 assists, and 1.22 blocks in the elimination round before dispatching San Beda University in the Final Four and eventually falling to Mapua in the finals.

Escamis and Liwag is joined by two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player Kevin Quiambao of De La Salle University, his teammate Mike Phillips, and UAAP Season 87 Finals MVP JD Cagulangan of the University of the Philippines.

Aside from men's basketball, top players in women's basketball and football in the UAAP and NCAA will also be recognized.
