Gilas Pilipinas arrives in Jeddah for FIBA Asia Cup

Gilas Pilipinas has arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia days before the FIBA Asia Cup.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas shared the development on Thursday.

Players seen in the photo are Calvin Oftana, Carl Tamayo, CJ Perez, Scottie Thompson, Dwight Ramos, Jamie Malonzo, Chris Newsome, and Kevin Quiambao. AJ Edu, Japeth Aguilar, June Mar Fajardo, and Justin Brownlee were also present.

Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tim Cone and his deputies such as Jong Uichico, Richard Del Rosario, and Sean Chambers were also there.

The Philippines will start its campaign on August 6 against Chinese Taipei, before taking on New Zealand on August 7. Iraq will be the Philippines' final assignment in the group stage on August 9.
