2025 SEA Games: Aleah Finnegan, Kim Custodio, Justin Macario

The Philippines is participating in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games, which officially opened on Tuesday, December 9, and will run until December 20, 2025.

The country sent a delegation of around 1,600 people, including athletes and coaches, to Thailand, marking its largest contingent in the history of the biennial meet.

On December 10, the country kicked off its medal haul with a bronze medal from John Derick Farr in the men’s mountain bike downhill event for the country's first medal in the competition. It was soon followed by the Philippines' first gold, courtesy of taekwondo jin Justin Kobe Macario in the men's freestyle poomsae event.

More gold medals have come from the women's 4x100 freestyle relay swim team, Kim Custodio of jiujitsu, Dean Roxas of jiujitsu, Aleah Finnegan of gymnastics, the Philippine baseball team, and Tachiana Mangin of taekwondo.

Cambodia, meanwhile, withdrew from the competition amid the border conflict with SEAG hosts Thailand.
