The 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand officially opened Wednesday, and the Philippines already has 13 medals in its haul, including one from taekwondo and one from swimming.

Gilas Women bow out of contention

The Gilas Pilipinas Women 3x3 team could not barge into the win column on the opening day of 2025 Southeast Asian Games on Wednesday at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Gold in swimming

The Philippines secured its second gold medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games on Wednesday in Thailand by ruling the 4x100m women’s freestyle relay.

Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 to semis

Ange Kouame top-scored while Joseph Sedurifa nailed the dagger as Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 escaped Malaysia, 21-19, in the men’s 3x3 basketball competition of the 2025 Southeast Asian Games at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Silver in swimming

Gian Santos settled for silver in the 200m individual medley with a time of 2:03.88.

Another medal for taekwondo

Kobe Macario is a medalist anew, this time with Jeus Yape, Darius Venerable, Juvenile Crisostomo, and Janna Oliva, as the taekwondo team got a bronze in mixed team freestyle.

Jiujitsu cops bronze medal

Godwin Langbayan copped a bronze medal in the jiujitsu men's fighting-62 kg division.

Silver for poomsae

Taekwondo had another medal, this time a silver from the men's recognized poomsae. The team includes Rodolfo Reyes, King Nash Alcairo, and Ian Corton.

Another medal for taekwondo

Patrick King Perez and Jocel Lyn Ninobla claimed bronze in the recognized pair poomsae event.

Sepak takraw team gets another bronze

The Philippine sepak takraw team got another bronze, this time at the men's hoop event.

The team includes John Deryck Diego, Emmanuel Escote, Marc Kian Jake Fuentes, Ronsited Gabayeron, Jason Huerte, and Vince Alyson Torno.
