PBA: TNT breaks through in Commissioner's Cup at the expense of NLEX

TNT broke through in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the expense of NLEX, 103-97, on Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Tropang 5G were leading 99-93 with eight ticks left before Robert Bolick drilled a four-pointer to trim the deficit to two.

However, the shot came with an apparent knee to Calvin Oftana’s head, which resulted in a Flagrant 1 foul on Bolick. Oftana then sank his free throws, followed by another from Schonny Winston, to seal the victory.

Bol Bol led TNT with 40 points, 15 rebounds, two blocks, and an assist, while Jordan Heading added 15 points. Oftana and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, meanwhile, had 14 points apiece.

Import Cady Lalanne finished with 25 points, 21 rebounds, three blocks, and two assists, while Bolick had 21 points, nine assists, four rebounds, and a steal, as Winston and Anthony Semerad added 18 points each.

TNT improved to 1-1, while NLEX slipped to 2-1.
