Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 Women advance to Asian Beach Games finals; Men's team to play for bronze

The Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 Women’s team advanced to the gold medal match of the Asian Beach Games on Wednesday after defeating Singapore, 20-13, in the semifinals in China.

Mikka Cacho led the way with a team-high eight points, while Tantoy Ferrer added six. Kaye Pingol chipped in five points, before Gabi Bade sealed the win for Gilas Women.

The women’s team will face China in the finals at 7:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, the men’s team fell short in the semifinals, losing to Thailand, 20-18, and will settle for a bronze medal match.

The Philippines will also face China in the bronze medal game at 6:30 p.m.
