PBA Commissioner's Cup: Semifinals pairings set, quarterfinals recap and updates

The semifinals cast of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup was completed on Saturday following the do-or-die games in the two remaining quarterfinals series.

Meralco and TNT secured their spots in the semifinals and will face each other in the next round, while Barangay Ginebra and Rain or Shine earlier booked their tickets on Friday.

Here’s a recap of the quarterfinals games:

May 16

• Meralco 105-102 Magnolia (OT) (Meralco advances to semis)
• TNT 118-112 NLEX (TNT advances to semis)

May 15

• Phoenix 81-112 Barangay Ginebra (Barangay Ginebra advances to semis)
• San Miguel 104-113 Rain or Shine (Rain or Shine advances to semis)

May 14

• Magnolia 95-89 Meralco (Magnolia forced do-or-die)
• TNT 96-93 NLEX (TNT forced do-or-die)

The best-of-seven semifinals will have:

• Meralco vs TNT
• Barangay Ginebra vs Rain or Shine
