Crowds expected on last day of wake for Rene Baterbonia in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur

Supporters of Ateneo Blue Eagles cager Rene Baterbonia are expected to troop to Talacogon Evacuation Center in Agusan del Sur on Tuesday, the last day of his wake.

Baterbonia will be laid to rest on Wednesday, according to a report of GMA Regional TV reporter James Paolo Yap on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

Early on Tuesday, people have already been arriving at the wake to pay their last respects to Baterbonia, referred to as "Mr. MVP of Mindanao."

Some of them came from other parts of Mindanao.

In preparation for the expected crowds on the last day of the wake on Tuesday, police ensured security measures around the venue.

Known to his family, schoolmates, and townmates as Bobet, Baterbonia died due to drowning, together with teammate Divine Adili, on June 8 during a teambuilding activity in Dipaculao, Aurora.
