PBA: John Amores makes comeback, signs with Titan Ultra

John Amores is making a PBA comeback nearly two years after his professional license was revoked following a shooting incident in Laguna.

The 27-year-old Amores inked a deal with Titan Ultra just days before the club opens its campaign in the PBA Season 50 Governors' Cup on Friday against Terrafirma.

Amores and his brother were involved in a shooting incident in Lumban, Laguna, in September 2024. The brothers surrendered to authorities a few days later and were eventually released after posting bail on attempted homicide charges.

Amores was still on NorthPort's roster at the time before the franchise was taken over by Titan Ultra in October 2025.

On October 11, 2024, the PBA suspended Amores indefinitely without pay, and the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) revoked his professional license. The government agency stated Amores' case was 'appealable' and that its decision could be reversed given his acquittal.

On Tuesday, Amores shared on social media a video of himself applying for a GAB license, months after reports emerged that he was eyeing a comeback and that his charge had been resolved.

At Titan, Amores will reunite with his former NorthPort teammates in Fran Yu, Joshua Munzon, and Cade Flores.
