DJ Fenner eyes 2027 PBA Draft following Jones Cup, MPBL stints

DJ Fenner is preparing for what could be the next big step in his career.

The 6-foot-6 guard confirmed that he plans to enter the PBA Draft in January, but will first look to make an impression at the upcoming William Jones Cup in Taiwan before finishing his MPBL campaign strong.

"Yes, that's the plan, is to enter this draft in January and see what happens," Fenner said during Strong Group Pilipinas’ media day on Friday.

Asked if he has a particular PBA team in mind, Fenner said he is keeping his focus on the present.

"You know, I'm not too sure. I'm just really just trying to finish the MPBL strong, have a good showing here with Strong Group in Taiwan. So I'm really just kind of taking it step by step and trying to get better each and every day. Hopefully, I'll be ready to go in the PBA in 2027."

The 2026 William Jones Cup will be held from August 13 to 20 in New Taipei City.
