According to multiple reports, Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, got into an altercation with Rios’ trainers, Robert Garcia and Alex Ariza, in the training center shared by the two sides in Macau.
Neither of the two boxers were involved.
Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports reports the incident began when Roach demanded that Rios and his trainers leave the gym, to make way for the Pacquiao side. When Garcia asked for a few more minutes to finish up, the two began shoving each other, which led to the scuffle.
