Marvin Sonsona KOs Akifumi Shimoda in Macau for WBO featherweight title
Marvin Sonsona came up with a fourth-round KO of Japanese Akifumi Shimoda, to win the WBO International Featherweight Title, Saturday at the Venetian Macau's Cotai Arena.
Round 4: Whoa! Shimoda gets knocked out cold on a vicious shot from Sonsona. What a tremendous punch. Shimoda is still out on the canvas.

General Santos native Sonsona, a former WBO Super Flyweight Champ, improved to 18-1-1 with 15 KOs, while his opponent fell to 28-4-2.
Sonsona had been looking to prove his Super Flyweight title at the age of 19 was no fluke, and he certainly did so in this bout, besting Shimoda, who, after losing the WBA World Super Bantamweight title to American Rico Ramos in 2011, has been undefeated in his succeeding six bouts. - AMD, GMA News
