Mayweather, Maidana make weight for unification bout

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will look to keep his unbeaten record intact when he faces off against Argentine Marcos Maidana, after both completed their weigh-in, Friday (Saturday, PHL time) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather clocked in at 146 pounds, while Maidana tipped the scale at 146.5, a day ahead of their welterweight bout on Saturday (Sunday, PHL time).

At 45-0, Mayweather will be looking to keep his record clean, while staking his WBC and The Ring welterweight belts. Maidana on the other hand, can shock the world with a win, and add to his WBA welterweight title.  - AMD, GMA News
