Bernabe Concepcion-Eden Sonsona fight ends in technical draw

Former world title challenger Bernabe Concepcion (32-6-2, 18KOs) and former world rated southpaw, Eden Sonsona (32-6-2, 10KOs) battled to a technical draw after an accidental clash of heads in round three at Mandaluyong Gym on Saturday.

Sonsona quickly dictated the tempo with jabs and lead right uppercuts in round one. The fight started to heat up after both fighters landed clean shots of their own from an exchange in the center of the ring in round two.

The referee had to call timeout twice in round three due to an accidental low blow and clash of heads that opened a huge cut on top of Concepcion's right eye.

The referee was forced to stop the fight after the ringside physician advised that Bernabe Concepcion can no longer continue. — JST, GMA News
