Floyd Mayweather faces new raps for allegedly tormenting ex-fiancee

Floyd Mayweather made news outside of boxing yet again after his ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson filed a lawsuit against the unbeaten boxing superstar on September 4 at the Superior Court in Los Angeles, California.

Represented by well-known attorney Gloria Allred, Jackson claims that she was assaulted and battered by Mayweather. She also accused him of publicly humiliating her on social media.

The lawsuit comes nine days before Mayweather's title defense against Argentinian Marcos Maidana.

Mayweather and Jackson broke up earlier this year, with the fighter claiming that he did so after she underwent an abortion.

It is not the first time that Mayweather has faced a domestic abuse charge. In 2012, Mayweather spent two months behind bars for beating up ex-girlfriend Josie Harris in front of their children. — JST, GMA News
