Pacquiao unimpressed by Mayweather's win over Maidana: 'Nasobrahan sa footwork... suntukan yun eh'

Manny Pacquiao watched Floyd Mayweather's win over Marcos Maidana on Sunday, and was far from impressed.

"May footwork naman. Nasobrahan sa footwork... suntukan yun eh," Pacquiao said in a report on "24 Oras" on Monday.

("He had footwork. But it was too much footwork... it should have been a fistfight.")

Pacquiao was referring to Mayweather's penchant for dancing around his opponents trying to avoid getting hit, instead of mixing it up.

The Filipino ring icon also didn't seem to agree with the result of the fight, noting how Mayweather seemed to take the brunt of the punishment.

"Namaga yung ilong niya, marami siyang tama. Si Maidana, halos walang tama. Tapos nanalo, unanimous decision?!" said Pacquiao.

("His nose was sore, he got hit a lot. Maidana, he wasn't hit. Then he won, unanimous decision?!")

After his win, Mayweather expressed openness to fight Pacquiao. But the fighting congressman from Sarangani seemed less than enthusiastic for the next round of talks with Mayweather, whose demands have caused breakdowns of talks between the two camps in the past.

"Marami na namang dahilan. Hintayin natin kung ano talaga, eh marami naman siyang sinabi noon pa," said Pacquiao.
