Done deal: Pinoy boxer Michael Farenas to fight unbeaten Puerto Rican foe in November

Hard-hitting Filipino southpaw Michael Farenas is scheduled to battle Puerto Rican Jose Pedraza in Puerto Rico on November 14.

 

An agreement has been reached after more than a week of negotiations between Farenas's acting manager, Gerry Peñalosa and Pedraza's handlers.

 

The 25-year-old No. 6 IBF world-ranked Pedraza holds an unbeaten record of 18-0 with 12 knockouts.

 

"This will be a tough fight for both," said Peñalosa. "[Michael] has to prepare hard [for this fight]."

 

The winner of the said contest will get a crack at the IBF world super featherweight title. — JST, GMA News
