Mayweather not scared and will more than likely put Pacquiao to sleep, says his father
By JM SIASAT
The much-awaited showdown between pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao is still the talk of the town despite failed negotiations over the years.
Mayweather's out of this world demands prompted many fans and media into thinking that the brash American is reluctant to get inside the ring with Pacquiao.
In an interview with fighthype.com, Mayweather's father and trainer, Floyd Sr. placed on record that his son is not afraid of Pacquiao.
"Well, a lot of people are going to say, 'Floyd was scared of Pacquiao. Floyd was this, that, and the other,' Floyd is not scared of Pacquiao, man," said Floyd Sr. who also mentioned in the same interview that Pacquiao versus Mayweather will definitely happen.
"Believe me as I tell you today. Floyd done beat [expletive] that done beat Pacquiao. What's his name? The one that knocked Pacquiao out. Marquez."
Mayweather dominated Pacquiao's Mexican archrival Juan Manuel Marquez over twelve rounds in 2009. If Floyd Sr. is to assess, Pacquiao will even be an easier fight for his son due to their styles.
"How in the hell is he going to beat Floyd when Floyd took Marquez to school. I mean, it's just going to be the same thing," told Floyd Sr. "Matter of fact, it's going to be easier because Pacquiao is tailor-made for Floyd. He's tailor-made to eat the right hand all day long."
"You gotta remember, Pacquiao is a southpaw. He's a southpaw and Floyd is right-handed, so he'll eat right hands and left hooks all night, and more than likely, he will be going to sleep again. Believe me!" he added. - RAF, GMA News
