WATCH: Floyd Mayweather admits: 'I don't mind being a rich coward'
Floyd Mayweather continued to brush off criticism that he's afraid of fighting Manny Pacquiao, noting how his career track has made him a very wealthy man.
In an interview with FightHype.com, Mayweather said he only laughs at those who call him a coward
"A lot of times, in the past, you got people saying, 'Floyd Mayweather is scared of Manny Pacquiao, he's a coward,'" Mayweather told Ben Thompson of FightHype.com in an exclusive interview.
"I really laugh about it because, you know, I don't mind being a rich coward. I’m able to put my kids in the best school, I was able to retire my mother, I’m able to put my dad in a comfortable position."
Throughout the interview, Mayweather continued to take shots at Pacquiao, saying the only reason the Filipino ring icon wants to fight him is because of financial troubles.
"His back is against the ropes now. We all know that he has financial problems, he has problems with those three capital letters which is the IRS," said Mayweather, referring to Pacquiao's ongoing case with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the equivalent of the United States' Internal Revenue Services. — JST, GMA News
