How Pacquiao can beat Mayweather via decision, according to Fil-Am UFC star Mark Muñoz

Though not a boxer by profession, Filipino-American mixed martial arts fighter Mark Muñoz possesses plenty knowledge of the "sweet science."

The Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight contender expressed heavy interest in the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, and broke down how the Filipino fight icon can get the victory.

"He needs volume [punching] because Mayweather is gonna be all defensive so volume is gonna help Manny out and the pace," Muñoz told a group of reporters on Tuesday, at a UFC press conference held in Solaire.

"Mayweather is gonna look to counter and Manny is always known for all the different angles that he throws his punches.

"Manny's always been good at volume so he just needs to push the pace, open him up kinda like a bee hive. When you punch a bee hive, the bees come out, he needs to do that to Mayweather and make sure that he comes out then Manny will show his skills from there."

Though many observers suggest that Pacquiao is no longer the same fighter he was years ago, Muñoz still believes that the Filipino ring icon will have superior fitness come fight night.

"In the chaos, Manny is always calm and he's good," said Muñoz. "Manny can't slow down because his shape is unbelievable. He needs to go out there and use his shape to his advantage.

Muñoz, who will see action in UFC's first event in Manila, picks Pacquiao to get the decision victory.

"100 percent he's gonna win the fight. It's gonna be by decision because the thing about Mayweather, he's hard to connect on that's why I said volume. Volume is gonna be his way of winning the fight." —JST, GMA News
