LOOK: Lakers star Jeremy Lin visits Pacquiao

(Updated 9:24 a.m.) Basketball star and fellow Christian Jeremy Lin on Wednesday became the latest celebrity to visit Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao as the Filipino boxing champ continued preparing for his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao and Lin both posted photos of the visit on their social media accounts Wednesday morning (PHL time).

"Thank you @JLin7 for coming to show your support. Thank for showing your love for the Lord and being a good example," Pacquiao said.

Lin is a point guard with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association.

He also posted a photo on his Instagram account.

"Great seeing @mannypacquiao ???????????????? #livingforHim #asianinvasion #ifeeltall #quittalkingaboutmyhair," he said.

A separate tweet by GMA News' Lei Alviz said Lin "wants to show his support for a fellow Asian and brother in faith."

Meanwhile, Pacquiao referred to the May 2 bout as "blessed" in another tweet.

"Only 18 more days until the blessed event. See you in Las Vegas!" he said.
