Davao City Jail inmates can watch Pacquiao-Mayweather bout for free

Inmates at the Davao City Jail will get to watch for free the mega-fight between boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. this Sunday.

A satellite TV setup was installed in the jail's multi-purpose gym for the highly anticipated fight, GMA Davao reported Thursday.

Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, who supported the free showing, said this is for the inmates' benefit.

"Ready (na) ready na po Sir, at talagang hinihintay na po nila ang laban ni Pacman. At lahat ho dito kay Pacquiao talaga," said head inmate Randy Aguilar.

Meanwhile, the limited edition souvenir sheets and stamps featuring Pacquiao were made available at the Davao City Central Post Office.

The souvenir sheets, which include 100 pieces of the stamps, are in P40 denominations.

Stamp collectors had been going to the post office to wait for the Pacquiao stamps. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
