Marquez fears getting robbed if he agrees to fifth fight vs Pacquiao
By JM SIASAT
It seems like there's really no convincing Juan Manuel Marquez to fight Manny Pacquiao for a fifth time. While millions of dollars are on the table, the future hall of famer admits worrying about getting robbed should he fight Pacquiao again.
"I don't think [a fifth fight will happen]. I've said it before, they are going to do to me in the fifth fight exactly as they did to me in the third one (a highly controversial win for Pacquiao)," Marquez told boxingscene.com.
Marquez, who's in the shortlist of Pacquiao's targeted opponents for his ring return next year, is quick to shoot down the idea citing how his own fans might go against him.
"If I did this [fight], the people would start to turn against me," said Marquez.
"They would say that I'm doing it just for the money, for the financial aspect. But I believe honor and pride is worth a lot more than the millions of dollars they are willing to pay me." - RAF, GMA News
