Mayweather on Pacquiao’s anti-gay slur: Let people live their lives the way they want

Floyd Mayweather pushed for tolerance towards members of the LGBT community when a US entertainment network asked for his thoughts on Manny Pacquiao's recent anti-gay remarks for which the Filipino boxer has already apologized.

"We should stay positive. We should let people live their lives the way they want to live their lives.... To each his own," Mayweather told TMZ.

Mayweather was asked what he thought about Pacquiao saying "queers were worse than animals."

Mayweather was, for several years, the subject of many Filipinos' criticisms after he was perceived to be dodging a fight against Pacquiao until the historic bout pushed through last year.

The American boxer won.
