Pacquiao, Bradley to hold media workout next week

Eight division champion Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley are set to hold their respective media workouts ahead of their third encounter on April 9 (April 10 PHL time) at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The 37-year-old Pacquiao is slated to showcase his current form to a media only workout on March 30 (March 31 PHL time) at Freddie Roach's famed Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California.

Bradley's workout, meanwhile, will be open to the fans who are eager to see his fighting shape on April 1 (April 2 PHL time) at Palm Springs Fan Fest.

For those who can't make it to the venues, a free livestreaming will be aired on www.toprank.tv. The telecasts will also include interviews with Freddie Roach and Bradley's coach, Teddy Atlas.

Roach meanwhile said despite his busy schedule, Pacquiao still manages to devote himself in training.

"It has been no distraction at all. He is all business in the ring and the only thing we discuss is the fight with Bradley. If anything, he seems to be extra motivated to perform well in this fight," answered Roach when asked if Pacquiao gets distracted with politics.

"In boxing, politics and life, Manny has shown us that anything is possible if you work hard and have faith.  He has never been confined by limits."

Roach, who realizes that his tandem with the Filipino ring icon is nearing its end, also took the time to relish what it's like to have a student like Pacquiao.

"Manny is the greatest fighter I have ever worked with. I have never seen another fighter accomplish so much. Forget the raw talent and drive to win, Manny was a great student who never rested on his laurels," says Roach.

"He was a sponge who was always willing to learn new things. He challenged me to teach him new things. He made me a better trainer. For me, it’s been an experience unique to Manny. I wish I had a million fighters with as much drive and a willingness to learn new things." — APG, GMA News
