Jeff Horn's open training session in Brisbane draws fans

Confident Jeff Horn faced Pinoy and Australian boxing fans at his open training session in Brisbane for the match with eight-division world champ Manny Pacquiao this Sunday.

Horn's camp made the training session open to the public at Reddacliff Place where boxing fans saw his workout routines and sparring sessions with his coach Glenn Rushton.

Aside from the training, there was also a Q and A portion and fans were handed giveaways.

At the Q and A session, Horn said, "I see myself with my hands arms raised, with a belt on my waist."

Horn firmly believes that he will ace the match and wrestle the WBO world welterweight championship title from Pacquiao.

Australian and Pinoy boxing fans alike who came to witness Horn's training gave mixed predictions on who will win the match.

Some presumed that Horn will win despite Pacquiao's experience in boxing.

Others predicted that the more experienced Pacquiao will be victorious. The Filipinos in the crowd seconded the motion and affirmed that Pacquiao will be great on Sunday.

Aside from Horn, undercard challenger Umar Salamov of Russia and sub-main event challenger Pinoy boxer Jerwin Ancajas joined the training.

Dubbed "Battle of Brisbane", the Horn and Pacquiao fight for the WBO world welterweight championship will be on Sunday, July 2.

Fifty thousand boxing supporters were expected to witness the epic match live at Suncorp Stadium. —Rafeea Custodio/KG, GMA News
