Pacquiao not surprised by WBO review: 'Let the people judge for themselves'

Senator Manny Pacquiao on Tuesday said he is leaving it up to the people to judge who between him and Australian boxer Jeff Horn won in their July 2 fight, after the World Boxing Organization ruled that the latter is the clear winner following review.

“Let the people judge for themselves. People saw what happened. We have seen worse judgments in the past where judges manipulated results. Nothing surprises me now,” Pacquiao said in a statement forwarded to reporters.

The WBO reviewed the controversial fight after the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) sent a letter to look into the “possible errors” of the referee and judges.

"From the results, it can be established that Pacquiao won five rounds while Horn won seven rounds. Based on this analysis, Jeff Horn was the winner of the bout,” the WBO said in a statement.
