Pacquiao at 40: Ready for Broner, confident about ‘punching power’

As fight night approaches, boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao continues to train harder than ever.

Coach Freddie Roach said in an exclusive report by Mav Gonazales for GMA News' "Balitanghali" that Pacquiao is "hitting harder than ever" and that he is very happy the champion's performance.

Pacquiao's team additionally assured fans that they're making sure that he is in top shape.

"No'ng umpisa, nag-ka-cramps (ako), pero na-adjust ko na, na-balance ko na 'yong kinakain ko and then 'yong water sa katawan ko," Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao said that he feels great about being back at the Wild Card gym and he is looking forward to returning to Las Vegas.

"Ito 'yong passion natin, ito 'yong gusto natin, and I'm still enjoying doing this and preparing for the fight. One week to go before the fight, I'm so excited na magkaroon ng laban ulit at makapagdala ng karangalan sa ating bansa," he said.

Having turned 40 last December 17, the boxer said that he is still in excellent condition. "Wala namang pagbabago, ganoon pa rin ang speed natin, 'yong galaw natin (at) punching power nandiyan pa rin," Pacquiao declared.
