Manny Pacquiao takes light jog a day before final weigh-in

A day before his final weigh-in against American boxer Adrien Broner, eight-division world champion and Senator Manny Pacquiao had some light jog at the University of Nevada.

Head Coach Buboy Fernandez said Pacquiao currently weighed 145 pounds.

"Naboboring na nga sa taas eh... eh gustong magpainit ng katawan kaysa mag-gym kami, okay lang 'yung tumakbo dito. At least dito maco-control natin. Pagdating kasi sa loob ng gym mas lalo pa tayong mapapagod," Fernandez said in a Balitanghali report by Mav Gonzales on Friday.

Pacquiao also had some core exercises in preparation for his upcoming fight: "Wala lang, papawis lang."

Meanwhile, Angel Ramchand, who will sing the Philippine national anthem during the fight, expressed excitement for the event.

"Una di ako makapaniwala but yeah I got the part and everyone's so excited for me... 'yung family ko and of course ano na rin, taas bandera na rin ito. I'm very excited," Ramchand, a Zamboanga native, said.

Ramchand said she even practiced with the members of the Singing Pastors who usually sing during Pacquiao's fight.

The Pacquiao-Broner bout is scheduled on January 20, Sunday morning (Philippine time) at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
