Errol Spence promises fireworks against Mikey Garcia

MANILA - Errol Spence Jr. vows to give the fans their money's worth when he defends his IBF world welterweight title against four-division champion Mikey Garcia on March 16 (March 17 PHL time) at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA.

The 29-year-old Spence (24-0, 21KOs) is seen as the favorite against Garcia (39-0, 30KOs), who is coming up two weight classes to challenge for the title. The Long Island native is however not looking past Garcia despite the odds.

"If you know me and you know my boxing style, you know I’m never in a boring fight," told Spence.

"Even if it’s just me beating up my opponent, or them just being hurt, I’m always going to try to stop my opponent and put on a spectacular performance."

Spence further cites that he is applying self-imposed pressure to perform regardless of what the experts say. Come fight night, Spence vows to leave no stone unturned as he attempts to give Garcia his first defeat.

"I put that pressure to look great on myself, not just because I’m undefeated or because everybody says this about me, I do it for myself to put on a great performance and a great show," said Spence.

"I want to do that so great guys can look at me and think about if they want to fight me or not. That’s why a lot of guys don’t want to fight me — DVM, GMA News
