Mike Tyson reveals he smoked weed on fight day against Roy Jones Jr.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson smoked weed in training camp and on fight day itself for his comeback against former four-division champion Roy Jones Jr.

The revelation was made by the 54-year-old Tyson himself, who actually had to go through VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association) before the fight.

“Listen, I can’t stop smoking. I smoked during fights. I just have to smoke, I’m a smoker. I smoke every day I never stopped smoking, It’s just who I am,” said Tyson.

Tyson last figured in a pro contest in 2005 against Irish journeyman Kevin McBride where he lost via sixth-round technical knockout.

Though that was 15 years ago, Tyson showcased that he still has it against Jones as he went the distance in their two-minute, eight-round exhibition which ended in an unofficial draw.

He explains that smoking marijuana has no negative effect on his body and made it clear that it does not help with the pain he feels when boxing.

“It has no effect on me from a negative standpoint,” Tyson stated.

“It’s just what I do and how I am and how I’m going to die. There’s no explanation. There’s no beginning, there’s no end. It just numbs me it doesn’t numb the pain.” – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
