Robert Garcia tells why Manny Pacquiao can beat Errol Spence

Eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao is capable of giving WBC and IBF world welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. his first defeat according to renowned trainer Robert Garcia.

Garcia, a former world super featherweight champion who worked the corner of Brandon Rios and Antonio Margarito against Pacquiao, cited the Filipino’s grit as key to beating Spence.

“I think he's got a chance. I think it's a dangerous fight, but he's not afraid of losing a fight and ending his career with a loss because he knows he could still win too,” Garcia told ES News.

Spence is unbeaten with a record of 27-0 with knockouts and is currently rated as the number one welterweight in the world by The RING magazine.

He is viewed as a legitimate threat to Pacquiao should they meet inside the ring, but Garcia says that the Filipino boxing icon has built a career on fighting the best and could pull off a win.

“He's going to take the chance, he's about taking chances he's not about I don't want to lose, I want to be undefeated, he's about f--king becoming a legend.” -- BAP, GMA News
