Ryan Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao? Pacman's camp denies info

The camp of Filipino boxing champ and Senator Manny Pacquiao on Monday denied circulating information that he is scheduled to fight WBC interim lightweight champion Ryan Garcia.

"As far as I know, walang Ryan Garcia na kausap ang Paradigm Sports Management, as of now 'yan ha,"  Pacquiao's special assistant Jayke Joson told reporters in a Viber message.

He explained that the identification of Pacquiao's next opponent is the job of the promoter, Paradigm Sports Management.

"Sila magsasabi kay Sen. MP kung sino ipapalaban nila. That's the only time mag-start conditioning then training si Sen. MP.

The 22-year-old Garcia recently hinted in an Instagram post that he will be sharing the ring with Pacquiao.

“A dream turned reality! It’s an honor to share the ring with Manny Pacquiao I will always respect what you did in and out the ring. Here’s to the best man winning,” he captioned a poster featuring him and Pacquiao.

Joson said the Filipino boxing icon is more focused now on his duties as a senator.
