Floyd Mayweather announces more exhibition fights this year, dares rapper 50 Cent to fight
Retired five-division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is planning to have several exhibition fights this year.
“This year I will focus on several exhibitions. I will have an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan again,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram.
“Of course, the one with Logan Paul and I; and if Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I will have an exhibition with him as well.”
Mayweather was scheduled to face Youtuber Logan Paul in an exhibition on February 20 but was postponed to a yet to be announced date.
Other than facing the Paul brothers, Mayweather is also willing to share the ring with rapper 50 Cent but with one condition.
“I also heard that 50 Cent would fight me but claims I'm too small. If he wants to lace up at the end of the year, we can do an exhibition then,” he said.
“I don't care about weight class with any of these guys. The Paul brothers will make great money with the events, but with 50 Cent it has to be ‘Winner Take All.’”
The 43-year-old retired in 2017 with a perfect record of 50-0 with 27 knockouts after he defeated Conor McGregor via tenth-round technical knockout. A year later, he was back in the ring in an exhibition against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, who he easily disposed of in one round. — LA, GMA News
