Nesthy Petecio asks for prayers for upcoming fight as she makes Twitter debut

As she joined Twitter on Thursday, Filipina boxer Nesthy Petecio made a request to all her new followers.

"My upcoming fight is on July 31 vs. Italy. I need your prayers," Petecio said in one of her first tweets.

Petecio will fight Italy's Irma Testa in the semifinals of the women's featherweight division on Saturday. 

If she wins, she will advance to the gold medal match. If not, Petecio is still assured of at least a bronze medal.

Petecio is on track to deliver the country's second medal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The first was the gold medal won by weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz.
