Olympic medalists Petecio, Paalam, Marcial, arrive in the Philippines

Philippine boxers and Olympic medalists Nesthy Petecio, Carlo Paalam, and Eumir Marcial are back in the Philippines.

The three, along with fellow boxer Irish Magno and the rest of the Philippine delegation, arrived on Monday afternoon via a Philippine Airlines flight.

Prior to leaving for Japan, Paalam, Petecio, and Paalam were in Thailand for training, while Marcial was in the United States.

The Philippine boxing team ended the 2020 Tokyo Olympics campaign successfully after getting three medals.

Petecio claimed a silver from the women's featherweight event, while Paalam had his own from the men's flyweight division. Marcial, on the other hand, bagged a bronze in the men's middleweight event.

The Philippines had its biggest medal haul from the Tokyo Games since it joined the Olympics, highlighted by the country's first Olympic gold medal from weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz.
