Jake Paul outboxes ex-UFC champ Tyron Woodley en route to split decision

Youtube sensation Jake Paul has added another win to his professional boxing record following a split decision nod over former UFC welterweight world champion Tyron Woodley this Monday at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, USA.

Woodley was the first to step forward throwing jabs to the body while Paul attempted to keep him at bay with stiff jabs then touched the head and body with swift combinations.

Paul started to unleash his overhand right in round two. Woodley had trouble closing the distance and was unable to land any clean shots at all.

Woodley barely punched in round three as he moved forward and walked right into the traps of Paul. It was not until round 4 that the former UFC champ finally landed a big right hand that staggered Paul.

Woodley rode on his momentum and continued to land his punches in round 5, as he was finally successful in closing the distance and started to look confident in doing so.

Paul looked tired in round 7 and no longer had any snap in his punches. Woodley continued to stalk the Youtuber, occasionally throwing his overhand right.

Woodley fought with little urgency in the 8th and final round while Paul rode his bike throwing jabs and straight right hands against his baffled opponent.

Two judges scored the fight for Paul after eight rounds of action, winning by way of split decision as he improved his record to 4-0 with 3 knockouts.

Woodley, on the other hand, lost his pro boxing debut falling to 0-1.

Paul's previous three fights were against a fellow Youtuber AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson, and retired MMA fighter Ben Askren, all of whom were making their debut in pro boxing.
