MMA fighter Jorge Masvidal wants a shot at Logan and Jake Paul
Mixed martial arts fan-favorite Jorge Masvidal is willing to dip his toes in professional boxing if he would wind up fighting Youtubers Jake and Logan Paul.
Masvidal, 35-15 as a pro mixed martial artist, helped Jake Paul prepare for Ben Askren earlier this year but predicted former UFC welterweight world champion Tyron Woodley to defeat the internet sensation. The pick rubbed Paul the wrong way which ended with him calling Masvidal a “hoe.”
“Who the f-ck is this Paul kid? He thinks we're friends because I gave him some advice in the Ben Askren fight. Get the f-ck out of here, bro. I'll slap you and whoever the f-ck you want, bro. I'm a fighter. Of course, you're going to get offended,” Masvidal told ESPN in an interview.
“I'm going beat up all the Pauls. If they put money in my pocket, that Logan Paul dude, Jake Paul, whoever Paul dudes, if they put money in my pocket, of course, I'd like to break some Disney characters' faces,” he added.
“I've been fighting men who have been training since 7, 8 years old to do the same thing to me what I want to do to them. Fighting guys like [the Pauls] is a bonus, man.”
The 36-year-old Masvidal is coming off back-to-back losses to the reigning champion Kamaru Usman with the latest in April being by way of a brutal second-round knockout. He is exclusively signed with the UFC but is feeling positive that he may get clearance from Dana White.
Jake Paul, meanwhile, is 4-0 with 3 knockouts as a professional boxer and is coming off a split decision nod over Woodley last month. His older brother, Logan, is 0-1.
“UFC would have to sign off, but nothing is impossible. Dana doesn't like those guys and Dana knows I'll go in there and put a hurting on those kids. Maybe he does send in the f-ck-ng assassin.”
