Marco Antonio Barrera to make comeback at 47 years old
Former three-division champion Marco Antonio Barrera will make a comeback in the welterweight against former super bantamweight champion Daniel Ponce De Leon on November 20 at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino in Mescalero, New Mexico.
The 47-year-old Barrera last fought in 2011 against Jose Arias where he won by way of second-round technical knockout. He holds a professional record of 67-7 with 44 knockouts and is popularly known for his rivalry with Manny Pacquiao and fellow Mexican Erik Morales.
De Leon, meanwhile, is not a young stud either at 41 years old. He last fought in 2014 against Miguel Roman via ninth-round technical knockout and is most remembered by Filipino fight fans for knocking out the then unbeaten Rey Bautista in one round.
