John Riel Casimero is too good for his mandatory challenger, says analyst Quinito Henson

Veteran sports broadcaster and analyst Quinito Henson is convinced that Paul Butler is bound to get hurt when he challenges the reigning WBO world bantamweight champion, John Riel Casimero.

Butler, who holds a record of 33-2 with 15 knockouts, has been named by the WBO as the mandatory challenger to Casimero’s world title. Be that as it may, Henson would not give the European fighter an iota of a chance to beat the Filipino world titleholder.

“He (Casimero) is a tremendous fighter. I really think that if he is in tip-top shape, Casimero can take care of Butler and Naoya Inoue, maybe Nonito Donaire 50-50,” Henson stated.

“Butler is called the 'Baby Faced Assassin' but he is far from being a Marco Antonio Barrera. He is what I would say a traditional English fighter; he has that continental style. I think Casimero will tear him apart.”

Casimero’s upcoming fight went to the purse bid and was won by the newly established promotional outfit Probellum. The promotion is planning to hold the bout on December 11 either in London or Dubai.

Regardless of the venue, Henson only sees one ending for Butler.

“Fighting in Dubai or Liverpool, England, does not matter as far as Casimero is concerned. He is a road warrior, and he can take care of any opponent if he has head in place.”
