Quinito Henson says Manny Pacquiao could return to boxing if...

Veteran sports broadcaster and analyst Quinito Henson believes that Manny Pacquiao may very well make a boxing comeback.

The 42-year-old eight-division champion announced his retirement last month but not before telling the world his intention to run for the highest office in the Philippines next year. He retired with a record of 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts.

"In the eventuality that he loses the Presidential race, yes, I think he will come back. I think in that situation, he will want to be in a position to continue to give honor to our country. If he feels that he continue to do that by fighting in the ring, he will," said Henson.

"It is the most difficult thing for a boxer to stop boxing because that is a boxer's life. For Senator Pacquiao, he has his dreams, he has feelings about wanting to help our country grow. As far as his boxing career is concerned, nobody is going to match what he has done. He is in the Guinness Book of World Records," he added.

According to Henson, everything is a possibility as many retired boxers have come out of retirement to fight in exhibition matches.

"Senator is 42 years old, Oscar De La Hoya is coming back, Floyd Mayweather is always around, and Evander Holyfield came back, but he got blown away. These days, age doesn't seem to matter any longer in professional boxing," he said.
