Reymart Gaballo anticipating more than Donaire's left hook; Nonito confident of victory ahead of title fight

Defending WBC world bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire and WBC interim bantamweight champion Reymart Gaballo showered each other with respect but vowed to do bring all they have when they fight on December 12 (Manila time) at the Dignity Health Sports Park in California, USA.

“When I look at my last fight, I need to improve my head movement and throw more punches. Every time we train in the gym they always throw me some punches like the left hook of Nonito,” Gaballo said during the pre-fight press conference.

“But I told that is not the only one that needs to be to be watched out for. Age is just a number. His movement is still there, same as before. I predict that it will be a very good fight and I will do my best to win this fight.”

Donaire, 39, is coming off a fourth-round demolition over Nordine Oubaali last May. And while the Filipino four-division champion had nothing but praise for Gaballo, even translating for his countryman during the presser, Donaire vowed that he is coming to win on fight night.

“I know Reymart is very hungry. He has a big dream like everybody coming from the Philippines. I know he will be at his best that is why I am prepared to be at my best as well,” said Donaire.

“I am 100% ready we build on mental fortitude so whatever happens we are always going to push through adversity. Reymart is a really good fighter, but we are very very confident. I got bigger fish to fry and go after. He will do his best, I will do my best. In my confidence victory is the only thing.”
