Errol Spence Jr. announces Ugas clash in April

WBC and IBF world welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. revealed that he is on a collision course against WBA world welterweight titleholder Yordenis Ugas.

Spence, who holds an unbeaten record of 27-0 with 21 knockouts, says the fight is set to take place in April at a yet to be determined venue.

“The fight is in April. Man down, strap season. He already knows what time it is,” Spence said on Instagram live.

Ugas, 35, came to stardom when he defeated the now-retired eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao by way of unanimous decision last August.

Ugas was previously ordered by the WBA to defend his strap against no.1 contender Eimantas Stanionis though some reports stated that the latter reached a settlement with the WBA champion. — LA, GMA News
