Kell Brook stops Amir Khan in six rounds

The longstanding rivalry between ex-world champions Kell Brook and Amir Khan finally came to a conclusion following a sixth-round stoppage win from the former this Sunday (PH time) at the Manchester Arena in the UK.

Brook, 35, pressed the action from start to finish stalking Khan with hard punches that had him hurt multiple times. Khan’s signature speed was in display, but he did not have the jab nor the power to keep his foe at bay.

Brook followed up with a barrage of punches after hurting Khan again in round six. Khan was reduced to a shell, allowing Brook to unload some more which prompted the referee to halt the contest at the 0:51 mark of the stanza.

The win improved Brook’s record to 40-3 with 28 knockouts while Khan dropped to 34-6 with 21 knockouts.
